Mikala Coppolella Clinical Therapist

A graduate of Fairfield University’s Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Mikala has worked with a broad group of individuals ranging from ages six to seventy. Mikala has experience working with severe and persistent mental illness such as bipolar, as well as depression, anxiety, trauma disorders, attention deficit disorders, among other diagnoses. She is also specialized in working with individuals with eating disorders and has worked with adolescents and young adults struggling with eating disorders in residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.

Rachael graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Education before completing her Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at D’Youville College. Through the process of writing her Master’s thesis about Orthorexia Nervosa among college students, she discovered the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. Implementing these principles on her own truly changed her life and led her to practice these principles in her professional life as well.

Rachael has previous experience working as the lead dietitian in an eating disorder treatment program at the PHP/IOP level of care in addition to experience working in the outpatient setting with individuals struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. She continues to have a strong interest in supporting individuals and families through all stages of recovery.

Our groups are offered at varied times with options to add or reduce support depending on level of need, week by week.
